"One of the Best Soto Madura in Town"
Speaking about soto, this is my second time reviewing Soto Madura, after the previous review here. Probably, this one is the most classic and the most popular Soto Madura in Surabaya and has been there for a long long time.

The place is called Soto Madura Gubeng Pojok Asli. The location is quite strategic and not too far away from many office buildings and complex around, that is why the place is always packed, especially during lunch time. I came there few hours after lunch time, thus, it was not quite that crowded and I could enjoy my late lunch perfectly.

They have a huge menu on the wall for you to choose easily. You can order directly from the counter or the staff around. I ordered one portion of Soto Madura (Beef) without any organs, meat only. Usually people like to order Soto Madura Campur that consist of beef meat, intestines, tripes, lungs, and many others. You can also request which one you like or which one you don't want. One portion of Soto Madura cost me Rp.26.000,- or around $1.95. Not too expensive, and not too cheap either.
The food was really worth the price. The meat is very tender and very moist inside. The broth is also perfectly seasoned and not to heavy, it is not too oily either. You can also add some sprinkle of lime juice to really make it very refreshing. Overall, it was a very nice lunch to have. Most of Indonesian foods are deep fried, so it is very nice to have this kind of option. I strongly recommend you to try this Soto Madura if you happen to be in Surabaya.
